New South Wales Consolidated ActsThe Governor may release on licence any person detained in a State
institution, and may revoke such licence.
The conditions of the licence shall be that the licensee shall, for a period
therein specified, not exceeding twelve months, be of good behaviour and
abstain from taking or using any intoxicating liquor or intoxicating or
narcotic drugs.
Any such licence shall be revoked by a Magistrate on proof in a summary way
before him that the licensee has been guilty of a breach of any condition of
the licence; or the licence may be revoked by the Governor at his discretion.
Where a licence is revoked as aforesaid, the person released on licence may be
taken by any member of the police force and returned to the State institution,
and may be detained there during the remainder of the period for which he was
placed in the institution.
