HEALTH INSURANCE LEVIES ACT 1982 - SECT 16E
Amount of contribution
16E Amount of contribution
(1) The amount of weekly contribution (including commission) required to be
paid for membership of the State Ambulance Insurance Plan shall be: (a) in the
case of single membership-the prescribed rate for the month during which the
contribution becomes due and payable, or
(b) in the case of family
membership-an amount equal to twice the prescribed rate for the month during
which the contribution becomes due and payable.
(2) The regulations may
specify the circumstances in which a person who has not paid any contribution
which has become due and payable ceases to be a member of the
State Ambulance Insurance Plan.
(3) Contributions under the
State Ambulance Insurance Plan are not payable in respect of any period before
1 February 1984.
