23 Power to give directions to rectify breach of licence

(1) The Director-General or an inspector may direct the holder of a licence, by notice in writing, to carry out such work or other actions as the Director-General or inspector considers necessary to rectify any breach of the licence.

(2) If the requirements of the notice are not complied with within the period specified in it, the Director-General or inspector:

(a) may cause the work or actions specified in the notice to be carried out, and

(b) may, by proceedings brought in any court of competent jurisdiction, recover as a debt from the licensee to whom the notice was given the reasonable cost of complying with those requirements.
