HEMP INDUSTRY ACT 2008 - SECT 16
Revocation of licence
16 Revocation of licence
(1) A licence may be revoked by the Director-General: (a) if the licensee
contravenes any provision of this Act or the regulations, whether or not the
licensee has been convicted of an offence for the contravention, or
(b) on
such other grounds as may be prescribed by the regulations.
Note: Failing to
comply with the conditions of a licence is a contravention of the Act.
(2)
The Director-General must revoke a licence if the Director-General is
satisfied that, if the licensee were applying for a new licence, the
application would be required by this Act to be refused.
(3) A licence is
revoked by the Director-General by serving on the licensee a written notice
stating that the licence is revoked. The revocation takes effect when the
notice is served or on a later date specified in the notice.
(4) The
Director-General may, by serving a further written notice on the holder of a
licence, cancel a notice revoking a licence before the notice takes effect.
