Transfer of licence
14 Transfer of licence
(1) An application for the transfer of a licence may be made jointly by the
holder of the licence and the person named in the application as the
transferee.
(2) Subject to the regulations, an application for the transfer
of a licence is to be dealt with as if it were an initial application by the
transferee for a licence. Accordingly, sections 7-9 apply in relation to an
application under this section.
(3) The Director-General is to determine an
application for the transfer of a licence: (a) by granting the application and
transferring the licence to the transferee, or
(b) by refusing the
application.
(4) The Director-General is to give the joint applicants written
notice of the determination of the application. However, the Director-General
is not required to give any reasons for his or her decision.
(5) The
Director-General’s decision in relation to an application for the transfer
of a licence is final and is not subject to review.
