(1) The Authority may approve a form for giving notice of a claim under a
contract of insurance.
(2) A claim under a contract of insurance may be made
in the approved form but is not required to be made in that form.
(3) The
regulations may make provision for or with respect to--
(a) clauses or matter
that must be included in a claim form or a class of claim forms, or
(b)
clauses or matter that must not be included in a claim form or a class of
claim forms.
(4) If the regulations require a claim form or class of claim
forms to contain a clause in prescribed terms, a claim form of the kind to
which the requirement relates is taken to include the clause in the terms
prescribed.
(5) An insurer must accept for consideration any claim submitted
in the approved form.
(6) Any regulations made under this section do not
apply to a claim form in force at the time that the regulations commence.
