(1) There is to be established a Housing Account in the Special Deposits Account.
(2) The Housing Account is to consist of:(a) all money advanced to the Department or the Corporation by the Treasurer or appropriated by Parliament for the purposes of the Department or the Corporation, and(b) all money received in respect of land sold or leased by the Corporation under this Act, and(c) all money directed or authorised to be paid into the Housing Account by or under this or any other Act, and(d) all money received by the Department or the Corporation from any other source (other than money required to be paid into the Housing Reserve Fund).
(3) The Housing Account is to be applied for the purpose of enabling the Department and the Corporation to exercise their functions.
(4) All expenditure incurred by the Department, including salaries, is to be met from the Housing Account.
(5) The Corporation is to keep a separate account within the Housing Account in respect of the following:(a) money transferred to the Corporation by the operation of Schedule 3 that was, immediately before the transfer, held by the Home Purchase Assistance Authority and provided to the Authority under a Commonwealth State agreement to be used for the purposes of mortgage assistance,(b) all money made available to the Corporation under section 64.
