GOVERNMENT TELECOMMUNICATIONS ACT 1991 - SECT 26

26 Authority entitled to sell excess capacity

(1) The Authority may enter into a contract or arrangement with any person (not being a Government agency) for the use by that person of any part of the Government telecommunications network that is not required for use by Government agencies. Government agencies may not enter into any such contract or arrangement.

(2) The power of the Authority under this section is subject to the requirements of the Telecommunications Act 1991 of the Commonwealth relating to the exclusive rights of general carriers licensed under that Act.
