Application and interpretation
38 Application and interpretation
(1) This Part applies to the following orders under this Act: (a) an order
under Part 4 transferring a part of the business undertaking of GIO to a
GIO subsidiary or transferring a part of the business undertaking of a
GIO subsidiary to another GIO subsidiary or to GIO,
(b) an order under Part 5
excluding a part of the business undertaking of GIO or a GIO subsidiary and
transferring it to the Self Insurance Corporation or other person on behalf of
the State,
(c) an order under Part 5 transferring any part of the
excluded undertaking to a person acquiring it from the
Self Insurance Corporation or other person on behalf of the State.
(2) In
this Part, the body or person from whom a part of a business undertaking is so
transferred is called the
"transferor" and the body or person to whom it is being so transferred is
called the
"transferee".
