FREIGHT RAIL CORPORATION (SALE) ACT 2001 - SECT 33
Agreements for sale of business undertaking to sale company
(1) The Treasurer is authorised to enter into agreements for or in connection
with the sale of the business undertaking of FreightCorp to the sale company
and for that purpose the Treasurer may act for and on behalf of FreightCorp.
(2) Any such agreement may be entered into for the purposes of this section
before, on or after the sale.
(3) Section 52A (Contracts for sale of land) of
the Conveyancing Act 1919 does not apply to a contract for the sale of land
that is entered into for the purposes of this section.
