Power to require gear to be removed from water
249 Power to require gear to be removed from water
(1) A fisheries officer may require the master of a boat to remove from the
water any fishing gear that is being used by a person on board the boat.
(2)
A fisheries officer may require a person to remove from the water any
fishing gear that is being used by the person.
(3) A person who, without
reasonable excuse, fails to comply with a requirement of a fisheries officer
made under this section is guilty of an offence. Maximum penalty: 50 penalty
units.
