FARM DEBT MEDIATION ACT 1994 - SECT 12
Role of Authority
(1) The Authority is to institute arrangements for the accreditation of
suitably qualified and experienced persons as mediators for the purposes of
this Act and is to consult with the Australian Bankers Association and the NSW
Farmers’ Association on those arrangements.
(2) The Authority is not liable
for any of the costs of or associated with mediation for the purposes of this
Act, except in its capacity as a creditor.
(3) The Authority must withdraw
the accreditation of a mediator if the mediator fails, without reasonable
excuse, to comply with section 11AA (1) or 18A.
