FOOD ACT 2003 - SECT 14
Sale of unsafe food
(1) A person must not sell food that the person knows is unsafe. Maximum
penalty: 1,000 penalty units or imprisonment for 2 years, or both, in the case
of an individual and 5,000 penalty units in the case of a corporation.
(2) A
person must not sell food that the person ought reasonably to know is unsafe.
Maximum penalty: 750 penalty units in the case of an individual and 3,750
penalty units in the case of a corporation.
