46 Recovery of penalties etc

(1) Proceedings in respect of an offence or forfeiture under this Act or the regulations and proceedings for the recovery or enforcement of a penalty, fine or fee imposed or made payable by a licence or permit under this Act or by a lease of land within a State forest, timber reserve or flora reserve may be taken in a summary manner before the Local Court.

(2) Any such proceedings may be commenced within 12 months after the time when the matter giving rise to those proceedings occurred.
