ELECTRICITY SUPPLY ACT 1995 - SECT 35
Discrimination prohibited
35 Discrimination prohibited
(1) It is unlawful for a retail supplier: (a) to refuse to supply electricity
to any person, or
(b) to supply electricity to any person on terms that are
less advantageous than those on which the retail supplier supplies electricity
to other persons,
on the basis that the person uses or supplies alternative
forms of energy, uses or supplies energy from alternative sources, or uses or
supplies products, processes, designs or services that reduce the demand for
energy.
(2) It is a condition of a retail supplier’s licence that the
retail supplier must not contravene this section.
