ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY ACT 1989 - SECT 10
How Complaints Committee is to deal with complaints
(1) The Complaints Committee is authorised to conduct inquiries into
complaints referred to it by the Council.
(2) The Chairperson of the
Complaints Committee may, after referral of a complaint, authorise a person to
investigate the complaint and to report to the Complaints Committee on the
matter concerned.
(3) Such a report may form the basis of an inquiry by the
Complaints Committee.
(4) When conducting an inquiry, the
Complaints Committee is required to call before it any person who is the
subject of a complaint or an investigation to show cause why the person should
not be dealt with under this Part.
(5) Schedule 2 has effect with respect to
the conduct and procedure of an inquiry by the Complaints Committee.
