EDUCATION ACT 1990 - SECT 89
Minister may accredit school
89 Minister may accredit school
(1) If the Tribunal, in determining an application to review a decision of the
Board not to accredit a non-government school (or to grant accreditation
different from that applied for), recommends to the Minister that the Minister
accredit the school, the Minister is: (a) to accredit the school, or
(b) to
refuse to accredit the school.
(2) The Minister may accredit the school if
the Minister, having considered the reasons for the Board’s decision and the
reasons for the recommendation of the Tribunal, is satisfied that the school
will comply with the requirements of this Act relating to the courses of study
to be undertaken by candidates for the recognised certificate concerned.
