DENTAL TECHNICIANS REGISTRATION ACT 1975 - SECT 29
Service of notices
29 Service of notices
(1) A notice under this Act addressed to a dental technician, whether or not
the dental technician is a dental prosthetist, or to a person who has made an
application for registration as a dental technician or for a
practising certificate may be served: (a) by delivering it personally to the
person to whom it is addressed, or
(b) by posting it in an envelope duly
stamped and addressed to the person to whom it is addressed at the place last
known to the secretary to be the place of residence or business of that
person,
and shall be deemed to have been served upon its being so delivered
or, in the case of a notice referred to in paragraph (b), shall be prima facie
deemed to have been served when it would be delivered in the ordinary course
of post.
(2) A notice or other document required to be served on the board
may be served: (a) by being left with some person apparently employed in the
administration of this Act at the office of the secretary, or
(b) by posting
it in an envelope duly stamped and addressed to the secretary or to the board
at the office of the secretary,
and shall be deemed to have been served upon
its being so left or, in the case of a notice or document referred to in
paragraph (b), shall be prima facie deemed to have been served when it would
be delivered in the ordinary course of post.
