DENTAL PRACTICE ACT 2001 - SECT 23
Impairment
23 Impairment
(1) For the purposes of this Act, a person suffers from an impairment as a
dental auxiliary if the person suffers from any physical or mental impairment,
disability, condition or disorder that detrimentally affects or is likely to
detrimentally affect the person’s physical or mental capacity to carry out
dental auxiliary activities.
(2) For the purposes of this Act, a person who
habitually abuses alcohol or is addicted to a deleterious drug is taken to
suffer from an impairment as a dental auxiliary.
