Savings and transitional provisions
36 Savings and transitional provisions
(1) This Act applies to offences committed before the commencement of this
subsection, as well as to offences committed afterwards.
(2) Anything duly
done by or in the name of the Attorney General before the commencement of this
subsection is not affected by anything in this Act.
(3) The person holding
office as Solicitor for Public Prosecutions immediately before the
commencement of section 6 shall be deemed to have been appointed as Solicitor
for Public Prosecutions under this Act.
(11) Anything done or
omitted to be done before the commencement of section 15A (6), as so inserted,
by a police officer, the Director or any other person having functions with
respect to the prosecution of indictable offences, that would have been
validly done or omitted if section 15A (6) had been in force at the time that
it was done or omitted, is taken to have been validly done or omitted to be
done.
