Appointment and qualifications of Judicial Registrar
18FA Appointment and qualifications of Judicial Registrar
(1) The Minister may appoint any qualified person to be the Judicial Registrar
of the Court.
(2) A person is qualified for appointment as the Judicial
Registrar if the person is an Australian lawyer.
(3) The Judicial Registrar
is to devote the whole of his or her time to the office of Judicial Registrar.
(4) The Public Sector Employment and Management Act 2002 does not apply to or
in respect of the Judicial Registrar and, in particular, Chapter 5 of that Act
does not apply to the person appointed to the office of Judicial Registrar.
(5) The Judicial Registrar is an officer of the Court.
(6) Schedule 1A has
effect with respect to the Judicial Registrar.
