CONSUMER, TRADER AND TENANCY TRIBUNAL ACT 2001 - SECT 4
Definitions
4 Definitions
(1) In this Act:
"assessor" means an assessor appointed under this Act.
"Chairperson" means the Chairperson of the Tribunal.
"Commissioner for Fair Trading" means the Commissioner for Fair Trading,
Department of Commerce or if there is no such position in the Department-the
Director-General.
"Deputy Chairperson (Registry and Administration)" means the member referred
to in section 6 (1) (b).
"Deputy Chairperson (Determinations)" means the member referred to in section
6 (1) (c).
"Director-General" means the Director-General of the Department of Commerce.
"Division" of the Tribunal means a Division of the Tribunal specified in
Schedule 1.
"exercise" a function includes perform a duty.
"function" includes a power, authority or duty.
"member" means member of the Tribunal.
"procedural directions" means directions relating to the practice and
procedures to be followed in, and to the actual conduct of, proceedings.
"proceedings" means proceedings in or before the Tribunal, and includes any
alternative dispute resolution procedures under Part 5.
"Registrar" means the Registrar of the Tribunal.
"Tribunal" means the Consumer, Trader and Tenancy Tribunal of New South Wales
established by this Act.
(2) Notes included in the text of this Act do not
form part of this Act.
