Issue of court attendance notice or warrant
23 Issue of court attendance notice or warrant
(1) If an application in respect of a person is made to the Children’s Court
under section 21 by the assigned officer, the Children’s Court: (a) may
issue a court attendance notice for the appearance before it of the person,
and
(b) if the person does not appear in answer to the court attendance
notice-may issue a warrant directing the arrest of the person.
(2) An officer
or a member of the police force may arrest a person in respect of whom a
warrant has been issued under this section, whether or not the warrant is in
the possession of the officer or member of the police force at the time of
arrest.
