(1) Proceedings for an application under this Part must be heard in the
absence of the public.
(2) Despite subsection (1), the Local Court hearing
the proceedings may, if it considers it to be appropriate, permit persons who
are not parties to the proceedings or their barristers, solicitors or
representatives to be present during the hearing of the proceedings.
