Part to cease to have effect
48Y Part to cease to have effect
(1) The provisions of this Part (other than this section) cease to have effect
on 1 September 2013 or on such later day as may be prescribed by the
regulations. Note: Any portion of an Act that ceases to have effect on a
specified day ceases to have effect at the end of the specified day. See
sections 5 (3) and 71 of the Interpretation Act 1987 .
(2) A regulation made
for the purposes of subsection (1) must be made before the day on which the
provisions of this Part (other than this section) cease to have effect under
that subsection.
(3) Regulations containing provisions of a savings or
transitional nature may be made consequent on the operation of subsection (1).
