CONFISCATION OF PROCEEDS OF CRIME ACT 1989 - SECT 42G
False or misleading information in applications
42G False or misleading information in applications
(1) A person must not, in or in connection with an application for a
freezing notice, give information to an authorised justice that the person
knows to be false or misleading in a material particular. Maximum penalty: 100
penalty units, or imprisonment for 2 years, or both.
(2) This section applies
to an application by telephone as well as in person.
(3) This section applies
whether or not the information given is also verified on oath or affirmation
or by affidavit.
