Functions of a trust
8 Functions of a trust
(1) A trust: (a) is responsible for the care, control and management of the
common for which the trust is established, and
(b) subject to this Act, holds
the common as trustee for the commoners on the trusts and for the uses
declared in the instrument by which the common was dedicated, reserved or
otherwise set aside.
(2) A trust may invest any funds not immediately
required for the exercise of its functions provided that it does so as
authorised by the Trustee Act 1925 .
(3) A trust may employ such staff as it
considers necessary to enable it to exercise its functions.
