CROWN LANDS ACT 1989 - SECT 44
Transfer restrictions
44 Transfer restrictions
(1) The Registrar-General shall, at the request of the Minister, make a
recording in the Register to signify: (a) that a lease specified in the
request is held subject to the restriction that the lease may not be: (i)
transferred or sub-leased, or
(ii) dealt with in any other specified manner,
without the consent of the Minister, or
(b) that such a recording has ceased
to have effect.
(2) If a recording under subsection (1) has been made in
respect of a lease, the Registrar-General may not register under the
Real Property Act 1900 any dealing referred to in the recording if: (a) the
recording still has effect in respect of the lease, and
(b) the consent of
the Minister to the dealing has not been given.
