New South Wales Consolidated ActsAny person who gives, confers, or procures, or promises, or offers to give or confer, or to procure or attempt to procure, any money, property, or benefit of any kind, to, upon, or for any elector or any other person:
(a) in order to influence the elector in his or her vote in connection with a referendum, or
(b) in order to induce the elector to refrain from voting at a referendum, or
(c) in order to induce the elector to support or oppose any Bill submitted or to be submitted for the approval of the electors,is guilty of an offence.
Maximum penalty: 100 penalty units or imprisonment for 3 years, or both.
