CHILDREN (DETENTION CENTRES) ACT 1987 - SECT 7
Inspection of detention centres by juvenile justice officer appointed by Director-General
(1) Each detention centre shall be inspected at least once every 12 months by
a juvenile justice officer appointed by the Director-General for the purposes
of this section.
(2) As soon as practicable after having inspected a
detention centre, the juvenile justice officer shall furnish a report to the
Director-General on the results of the inspection.
(3) A report shall deal
with such matters as may be prescribed by the regulations and with such other
matters as the juvenile justice officer considers appropriate to include in
the report.
