CHILDREN AND YOUNG PERSONS (CARE AND PROTECTION) ACT 1998 - SECT 248A
Collection of information by Director-General and Children’s Court
248A Collection of information by Director-General and Children’s Court
(1) The regulations may make provision for or with respect to the collection
by the Director-General or the Children’s Court of such information (or such
classes of information) as may be prescribed by the regulations.
(2) Without
limiting subsection (1), the regulations may require the Director-General or
the Children’s Court: (a) to collect any such information, and
(b) to keep
any such information that is collected by, or that is provided to, the
Director-General or the Children’s Court, and
(c) to make any such
information publicly available, and
(d) to provide any such information to
the Minister.
(3) Nothing in this or any other Act prevents the
Director-General or the Children’s Court from doing anything in accordance
with the regulations made under this section.
