Arrangements for care
231Z Arrangements for care
(1) The Minister: (a) may make financial and
other arrangements with an appropriate authority for the care of: (i) an
interstate ward, or
(ii) a child or young person who is under the parental
responsibility of the Minister under this Act, and
(b) may, at the
Minister’s discretion, or in accordance with any such arrangements, return
an interstate ward to the care of the appropriate authority for the interstate
ward, and
(c) must, if the appropriate authority for an interstate ward
requests the Minister to do so, return the interstate ward to the care of that
appropriate authority.
(2) The Minister is to provide for the accommodation,
care and maintenance, in accordance with the arrangements referred to in
subsection (1), of any interstate ward to whom such an arrangement applies.
