(2) The certificate of registration is to be provided at the time of
registration and is to be provided free of charge.
(3) The certificate of
registration is evidence that the animal is registered and that the
registration information shown on the certificate is that entered on the
Register. Information entered on the Register is presumed (in the absence of
evidence to the contrary) to be correct.
Note : In this way, the certificate
of registration can be used as evidence of (for example) the name of the
registered owner of an animal and the address at which it is ordinarily kept.
(4) The Departmental Chief Executive can issue a replacement certificate of
registration when a certificate of registration is lost, stolen, damaged or
destroyed, and can charge a fee for the issue of the replacement certificate.
