Supreme Court rules

62 Supreme Court rules

(1) Rules of court may be made under Supreme Court Act 1970 for carrying the purposes of this Act into effect and, in particular, for or with respect to:
(a) applications to the Supreme Court under this Act and the costs of such applications,
(b) the payment or bringing of money into and out of the Supreme Court in satisfaction of claims to which arbitration agreements apply and the investment of such money,
(c) the examination of witnesses before the Supreme Court or before any other person and the issue of commissions or requests for the examination of witnesses outside New South Wales, for the purposes of an arbitration,
(c1) offers of compromise in relation to claims to which arbitration agreements apply, and
(d) any other matter or thing for or with respect to which rules are by this Act authorised or required to be made by the Supreme Court.
(2) Subsection (1) does not limit the rule-making powers conferred by the Supreme Court Act 1970 .
