Notification of convictions, criminal findings and charges
21 Notification of convictions, criminal findings and charges
(1) A
registered chiropractor must notify the Board in writing within 7 days after:
(a) the chiropractor is convicted of an offence or made the subject of a
sex/violence criminal finding for an offence, in this State or elsewhere,
giving details of the conviction or criminal finding and any penalty imposed
for the offence, or
(b) criminal proceedings are commenced against the
chiropractor, in this State or elsewhere, in respect of a sex/violence offence
alleged to have been committed in the course of the practice or purported
practice of chiropractic, or
(c) criminal proceedings are commenced against
the chiropractor, in this State or elsewhere, in respect of a sex/violence
offence alleged to have been committed against a minor or to involve child
pornography (whether or not alleged to have been committed in the course of
the practice or purported practice of chiropractic).
(2) The regulations may
provide that subsection (1) (a) does not apply in respect of particular
offences.
