Power of Registrar to intervene in proceedings
408A Power of Registrar to intervene in proceedings
(1) The Registrar may intervene in any proceedings relating to a matter
arising under this Act or the regulations.
(2) When the Registrar intervenes
in proceedings, the Registrar is taken to be a party to the proceedings and,
subject to this Act, has all the rights, duties and liabilities of such a
party.
(3) The Registrar may appear and be represented in any proceedings in
which the Registrar wishes to intervene pursuant to this section: (a) by a
person to whom the Registrar has delegated the Registrar’s functions under
this Act or such of those functions as relate to a matter to which the
proceedings relate, or
(b) by an officer or temporary employee of the Public
Service who is engaged in the administration of this Act, or
(c) by an
