Exercise of powers at coronial investigation scene
23F Exercise of powers at coronial investigation scene
(1) A police officer or other person may exercise any of the coronial
investigation scene powers if: (a) a coronial investigation scene has been
established, and
(b) the police officer or other person exercising the power
suspects on reasonable grounds that it is necessary to do so to preserve
evidence relevant to an investigation by the coroner.
(2) A police officer or
other person may exercise the coronial investigation scene powers for the
period of time specified in the order issued by the coroner.
