New South Wales Consolidated ActsSubject to the provisions of the Public Service Act 1902 and of all other
enactments relating to the appointment of officers and being in force at the
passing of this Act, the appointment of all public offices under the
Government, whether such offices are salaried or not, shall be vested in the
Governor with the advice of the Executive Council, with the exception of the
appointments of the officers liable to retire from office on political
grounds, which appointments shall be vested in the Governor alone:
Provided that this enactment shall not extend to minor appointments which by
any Act or by order of the Governor and Executive Council are vested in heads
of departments or other officers or persons.
