BAPTIST UNION INCORPORATION ACT 1919 - SECT 1

To be a body corporate

1 To be a body corporate

The members of the said association, called the Baptist Union of New South Wales, and all persons who shall in manner provided by the rules and by-laws for the time being of the said association become members thereof, shall be a body corporate by the name of “The Baptist Union of New South Wales”, and shall have perpetual succession and a common seal and shall and may enter into contracts, sue and be sued, prosecute and defend, and take all other proceedings in all courts civil and criminal within the said State, and any summons, writ, statement of claim, notice, or other proceedings which it may be necessary to serve upon the corporation may be served upon any member of the executive committee of the corporation.
