An Act to sanction the construction of a line of railway from Bungendore to
Captain’s Flat; to amend the Public Works Act 1912; and for purposes

The plan of the said work is the plan marked “New South Wales Railways,
Bungendore to Captain’s Flat, Schedule Plan”, signed by the Railway
Commissioners for New South Wales and countersigned by the Chief Civil
Engineer, endorsed L.1733 and deposited in the public office of the said
Railway Commissioners.

The cost of carrying out the said work (exclusive of land resumptions) is
estimated at two hundred and two thousand eight hundred and sixty pounds, and
such estimated cost shall not, under any circumstances, be exceeded by more
than ten per centum.

The said line of railway may be constructed on or along or by the side of any
road or highway.

Notwithstanding the provisions of section ninety-one of the Public Works Act
1912, the Constructing Authority shall not be compelled, nor shall it be the
duty of the said Authority to make or maintain any fence along the said line of
railway for the accommodation of any person or for any purpose whatsoever; but
the said Authority may, in its discretion, make and maintain such fences in
connection with the said line of railway as it may think fit.

- SCHEDULE
 
 
THIS proposed railway commences on and leaves the existing Sydney to Cooma
Railway at 185 miles 46 chains from Sydney, at a point 3 miles 16 chains south
of the centre of the Bungendore Passenger Platform, and proceeds thence in a
south-easterly direction, crossing the divide between Lake George and the
Molongolo Rivers at 188½ miles, thence still south-easterly passing through
the village of Hoskins Town at 194 miles, crossing Thurralilly Creek at 196¾
miles and Molongolo River at 199¼ miles, thence following the western side of
that river in a south-easterly direction to Captain’s Flat where it
terminates at 206 miles 60 chains from Sydney—being a total length of 21
miles 14 chains and subject to such deviations and modifications as may be
considered desirable by the Constructing Authority.
