BANANA INDUSTRY ACT 1987 - SECT 16B
Banana growers who are entitled to vote in election
(1) Subject to this Part, a banana grower is entitled to vote in the election
of a regional member if bananas are grown by or on behalf of the banana grower
on a plantation that is situated within the region concerned.
(2) If bananas
are grown by or on behalf of a banana grower on plantations that are situated
in different regions or on a plantation that is situated partly in one region
and partly in another region, the banana grower is entitled to vote in an
election in respect of one region only. That region is to be the region duly
nominated by the banana grower or determined by the Chairperson under section
16C.
