Review of Act
14.11 Review of Act
(1) The Minister is to review this Act to determine
whether the policy objectives of the Act remain valid and whether the terms of
the Act remain appropriate for securing those objectives.
Note : Part 5A of
the Local Land Services Act 2013 requires the review under this Act to be
undertaken in conjunction with the review under that Act of the
native vegetation land management provisions of that Part.
(2) The Minister
is to include public consultation as a part of the review.
(3) The review is
to be undertaken as soon as possible after the period of 5 years from the
commencement of a majority of the provisions of this Act.
(4) A report on the
outcome of the review is to be tabled in each House of Parliament within 12
months after the end of the period of 5 years.
