ASSOCIATIONS INCORPORATION ACT 1984 - SECT 44
Requirement to insure
44 Requirement to insure
(1) An incorporated association shall effect and maintain with an
approved insurer such insurance against a liability of the association as may
be required by the regulations, for a cover of not less than the amount
required by the regulations. Maximum penalty: 5 penalty units.
(2) Without
affecting the generality of subsection (1), regulations made for the purpose
of that subsection may require an incorporated association to effect and
maintain insurance against a liability of the association arising out of an
occurrence causing death or bodily injury to a person or damage to property.
