Alteration of objects and rules
20 Alteration of objects and rules
(1) An incorporated association may, by special resolution, alter its
statement of objects or its rules.
(2) The public officer of an incorporated
association shall, within 1 month after the passing of a special resolution
altering the statement of objects or the rules of an incorporated association,
lodge with the Director-General notice in an approved form, verified as
prescribed and accompanied by the prescribed fee, setting out particulars of
the alteration. Maximum penalty: 1 penalty unit.
(3) Any such alteration has
effect when the notice is lodged with the Director-General and the
requirements of subsection (2) are complied with in respect of the alteration.
(4) An alteration of the rules of an incorporated association is of no effect
unless those rules, as so altered, comply with section 11.
