Recognition of other qualifications
36 Recognition of other qualifications
(1) The Tribunal may, on the application of any person or on its own motion,
determine that a person: (a) who has specified qualifications in a recognised
trade vocation (being qualifications obtained elsewhere than in New South
Wales), and
(b) who complies with such further conditions as to experience or
otherwise as the Tribunal may determine,
is adequately trained to pursue that
vocation.
(2) A determination under this section must be set out in an
instrument signed by the Commissioner.
(3) The Commissioner must issue a
certificate of proficiency or a craft certificate, whichever is appropriate,
to a person who satisfies the Commissioner that the person: (a) has the
qualifications to which such a determination relates, and
(b) has complied
with any other conditions prescribed by the determination.
