STATE ROADS (TOLL WORKS) AMENDMENT BILL 1992

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This Explanatory Note relates to this Bill as introduced into Parliament)
The object of this Bill is to amend section 46 of the State Roads Act 1986. Currently,
that section provides that, on the recommendation of the Roads and Traffic Authority,
the Minister for Roads may declare any work designed to facilitate the movement of
motor traffic within Sydney, Newcastle or Wollongong, between Sydney and Newcastle
or between Sydney and Wollongong to be a toll work. The proposed amendment will
enable toll works to be declared in areas anywhere in the State.
Clause 1 specifies the short title of the proposed Act.
Clause 2 provides for the proposed Act to commence on the date of assent.
Clause 3 amends section 46 of the State Roads Act 1986 in the anner described
above.
