This explanatory note relates to this Bill as introduced into Parliament.
Overview of Bill
The object of this Bill is to repeal the Cattle Compensation Act 1951 and the Cattle Compensation (Advisory Council) Regulation 1999.The Bill does not contain any savings or transitional provisions consequent on the repeal of the Cattle Compensation Act 1951 as there is no longer any money standing to the credit of the Cattle Compensation Fund established under that Act.
Outline of provisions
Clause 1 sets out the name (also called the short title) of the proposed Act.Clause 2 repeals the Cattle Compensation Act 1951 and the Cattle Compensation (Advisory Council) Regulation 1999.
