New South Wales TAFE (Freezing of Fees) Bill 2007 No , 2007 A Bill for An Act to impose a freeze until 2011 on TAFE course fees.

 


 

Clause 1 TAFE (Freezing of Fees) Bill 2007 The Legislature of New South Wales enacts: 1 1 Name of Act 2 This Act is the TAFE (Freezing of Fees) Act 2007. 3 2 Commencement 4 This Act commences on the date of assent to this Act. 5 3 Definition of "TAFE Commission" 6 In this Act: 7 TAFE Commission means the Technical and Further Education 8 Commission constituted by the Technical and Further Education 9 Commission Act 1990. 10 4 Fees frozen to 2007 levels 11 (1) The fees for courses provided by the TAFE Commission during 2008 or 12 subsequently are not to exceed the fees payable, as at 1 July 2007, for 13 the undertaking of those courses during 2007. 14 (2) The fee for a course that is newly available in 2008 or subsequently is 15 not to exceed the fee payable, as at 1 July 2007, for the nearest 16 equivalent 2007 course. 17 5 Repeal 18 This Act is repealed on 1 July 2011. 19 Page 2
