This Act is the Transport Administration Amendment (Parramatta

Rail Link--Purchase of Properties) Act 2002.

2 Commencement

This Act commences on the date of assent.

Schedule 1.

Insert after section 127:

128 Offers to purchase homes above Parramatta Rail Link tunnel

(1) It is the intention of Parliament that the State offers to
7
purchase any property used for residential purposes located
8
above any underground rail facilities (within the meaning of
9
Schedule 6B) that form part of the Parramatta Rail Link.

(2) Any such offer is:
11
(a) to be made at the price that the property would attract if
12
there were no such underground rail facilities, and
13
(b) to include reasonable relocation expenses.
14
(3) This section operates for a period of 4 years from the date of
15
commencement of this section.
