An Act to repeal the Board of Adult and Community Education Act 1990; and for
related purposes.
 
 
Clause 1          Board of Adult and Community Education Repeal Bill 2008




The Legislature of New South Wales enacts:                                                1

 1    Name of Act                                                                         2

               This Act is the Board of Adult and Community Education Repeal              3
               Act 2008.                                                                  4

 2    Commencement                                                                        5

               This Act commences on the date of assent to this Act.                      6

 3    Repeal of Board of Adult and Community Education Act 1990 No 119                    7

               The Board of Adult and Community Education Act 1990 is repealed.           8

 4    Members of Board to vacate office                                                   9

               A person who, immediately before the repeal of the Board of Adult and     10
               Community Education Act 1990, held office as a member of the Board        11
               of Adult and Community Education:                                         12
               (a) ceases to hold that office on that repeal, and                        13
               (b) is not entitled to any remuneration or compensation because of        14
                     the loss of that office.                                            15

 5    Amendment of other Act and Regulation                                              16

               The Act and Regulation specified in Schedule 1 are amended as set out     17
               in that Schedule.                                                         18

 6    Repeal of Act                                                                      19

         (1)   This Act is repealed on the day following the day on which this Act       20
               commences.                                                                21

         (2)   The repeal of this Act does not, because of the operation of section 30   22
               of the Interpretation Act 1987, affect any amendment or repeal made by    23
               this Act.                                                                 24
